ABM and Down Syndrome

I found this article explaining abnormal hip, knee and ankle movement in the gait of people with Down Syndrome. It is due to hypotonia, ligament laxity and motor dysfunction.

I think it is clear why ABM would make such a difference in this type of case.

Below is a Youtube video featuring a young girl with Down Syndrome.

Here is a youtube video up about a child who has down syndrome and received Feldenkrais/ABM work. Her progress is significantly greater than most children with Downs. Her mother commented that at Downs events people exclaimed that they had never seen a Downs child move so fluidly and so well. Her development was at normal grade level at 4 years old and her parents intended to continue the lessons to make sure she stayed up with her peers
